the edible cosmos is called ULAM RAJA which is eaten raw or dipped in samba belancha chilli or thousand island dressing. it’s nutritious and reputed for strengthening the bones and aiding bowel movements.

there is also the wild black sesame which are flowering now in mauve tubulur flowers. the flowers after pollination would form into seedpods that contain the black sesame seeds.

it’s an annual. the plants would eventually die after seeding. propagation is by seeds.
